Wedding photography is an opportunity to shoot all of the things that I love; people, fashion, food, lifestyle and it's also a magical time to get to know the both of you. I want to work with you to document the love that you share and to create a storyboard of images that you will cherish and love to look at over and over again. My biggest joy is creating simple and heartfelt portraits of the Bride and Groom together for the first time after the ceremony and I see my role as the person who quietly captures all of the emotions and special moments. The nerves, anxiety, stress, joy, happiness, excitement, wonder, the partying, the food, the scenery and most of all, the love!
Whilst I do have a certain way of photographing what I see, it is really important to me that you absolutely love and adore your set of images. Which is why it's really important for me to get to know you and for you to get to know me, so that we can work together to create some beautiful portraits of the both of you together alongside the candid documentation of your Wedding. I want to capture you in the most honest way possible and to maintain an honest and discreet approach to capturing your wedding day, I choose not to use photoshop to retouch faces or bodies during my editing process or studio lighting/on camera flash at anytime during your ceremony (unless it's absolutely required such as a ceremony inside a cave, please seriously consider me if that's the case!).
Planning a wedding is quiet a big adventure which is why I keep my pricing simple and transparent with one package available. I have itemised your investment below, however I am open to hearing what you have planned and I will happily consider variations involving secret romantic elopements or destination weddings.
I am currently completing my Photo Imaging Diploma so my intake for 2016 is limited and I am taking bookings for 2017.

What to expect
Choose your location for the engagement session. This is a great chance to work together before the wedding day! Let’s shoot somewhere special for both of you, it can be at dawn or dusk, at your favourite coffee shop, a secret beach, at home, in your car, anywhere that is sentimental to you.
A bridal session can be great opportunity to take some photographs of the bride in her dress, with hair and make up in more of a fashion/editorial style, the location is up to you (nursery's, secluded beaches, hotel rooms, home and national parks are great location options) and it's a great warm up before the wedding day. I am also up for creating a beautiful set of boudoir shots if that's something that you would like to do in place of the bridal shots.
On the day of your wedding I will start shooting from whatever time it is that you require me to start documenting your story, it might start with an early morning surf or maybe you want me to come over and start shooting from the moment your alarm goes off. I'm unobtrusively there for you!! When you hire me as your photographer, you are hiring a story teller and an artist who will work hard to make sure that your day is honestly and creatively captured.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon securing your date. The remaining 50% of your balance is due two weeks prior to your session.
Wedding dates are secured up to 6 months in advance, while engagements shoots can be booked in 2 - 3 months before your wedding date.
Engagement shoots are scheduled in 1 hour after sunrise or 2 hours before sunset for optimal lighting. Cancellations and reschedules must be made via email at least 48 hours prior to the session.
Wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. My goal is to capture something timeless that captures you in your element.
I love to create secret Pinterest boards with my clients as I find these helpful in collaborating with the types of shots you want and also with finding inspiration in regards to styling, hair and make up, wedding cakes and flowers.
Some of the people I can highly suggest to work along side us:
Car Hire, A Bridal Affair
Pet Minding, Wedding Paws
Catering, LikeMinds Avoca
Invitation design, Leelou
Videography, Matt Evans
Catering, Christian Hartley at Your Table
Celebrant, Vivki Lever
I also have some great suggestions for printing and framing your photographs which I am happy to share with my clients.
How many images will I receive?
You will receive between 200 - 400 images depending on how many guests are at your wedding.
Do you bring another photographer to help shoot?
I have been a second shooter at many weddings and I don't feel that you need a second photographer unless you are having a large wedding (over 150 guests) or have a tight schedule and/or large distances between the bride and groom getting ready. I shoot on my own and I have found that to be sufficient. I like to be involved with helping you schedule the day so that I can make sure that there is enough time to cover the bride and groom getting ready prior and having fun prior to the ceremony.
I do provide a complimentary standard sized hard cover book, which I curate as a story board to your wedding day which you will receive 4 - 6 weeks after your wedding day. If you would like to work on creating a customised fine art album I can help you with that, just let me know!
I'm not, I don't like posey stuff.....
Neither do I. I am happy to capture you as you naturally are, but if you want posed shots there is nothing wrong with that and we can do that too!
Do you travel?
Yes I love to! I am yet to shoot a destination wedding overseas and it is something that I wanna do. The general requirement is flights/car expenses and two nights accommodation. I am not picky, but a room would be lovely. If you are having a wedding in Amsterdam or Antarctica I'll shoot it for free.
What other things do you photograph?
I have an interest in health, wellbeing and food. My other work often includes creating content for Yoga and Wellbeing businesses and I shoot food and lifestyle for The Urbanlist Sydney and cafes and restaurants. My work has appeared in The Collective Magazine and I have shot lifestyle content for Volkswagen.
Are all of the images edited?
I love this question. Yes. Every. Single. One. Editing is one of my favourite things about shooting a wedding because it plays a huge part in the way in which I artistically tell your story. I never outsource this step and it takes me days to go through the photographs and edit each image, and by the end of it my eyeballs are bleeding but that's just how I roll.
Are you a professional?
I have been shooting for a number of years and I am currently studying Photo-Imaging at CATC Design School at Ultimo. This is my final year. I am also a student member at AIPP.
But you said you don't use Photoshop.
Mmmmhhm, more precisely I don't use photoshop to slim down arms, whiten teeth, remove wrinkles or add more hair to the tops of heads. But of course if a huge pimple pops up on your face the day of the wedding, I will make sure that it does not make an appearance in any of the finalised images.
What about lighting?
Studio lighting takes time to set up, it ugly and it is noisy and distracting. I don't use it for any wedding photography. I have an external flash that I bring with me and unless you are getting married in a dark dimly lit cave (yes, can you please do this) I am reluctant to use a flash in natural daylight settings, particularly if it is outdoors. Please let me know where you are planning your ceremony so that I can check it out to make sure that there is enough space for me to quietly move around during the ceremony and to make sure that it is in a space that will best give your photographs the nicest view with optimal lighting. I do use an external flash when the sun goes down because I wanna capture all of those crazy after dark antics.
However.....if you are up for it (as I am!!) I can set up my studio lighting/props to do some really cool vintage Indian inspired wedding portraits if space permits. Check out my inspirations on my Pinterest page by clicking HERE.
Can we have some images watermark free?
There are no ugly watermarks on any of your images. You get all images, print ready and watermark free. Let me know if you need help with printing and framing, I can also help you with that.
Do you have any food allergies?
Nope. I can and have eaten most things. Please don't forget to provide a meal and a drink for me too.
