Week in review.
Completion of several photography assignments for college alongside some commissioned work and spending time with my little family in between.
I am feeling hugely grateful that I have some wonderfully helpful friends who have been able to assist me with one of my first photography assignments. The assignment basically asked for a submission of a brief along side the completed imagery to shoot for a faux fashion label. I researched and wrote up my brief and I was able to use that brief to assist the model, stylist and make up artist to work towards creating my vision. I used my basic lighting set up at home to shoot some images that I could use as a composite to incorporate some of the Photoshop skills I have been learning about in this particular subject. Prior to studying photography, I was content with using Adobe Lightroom, however since learning more about Photoshop I like that I can have more creative control with creating imagery, rather than just capturing it. In a nutshell, I can't wait to share those final images with you, which will be a few weeks away.
I also got to spend the weekend with Andrea from Leather & Lattes, she is a super friendly Sydney based fashion blogger with a penchant for good coffee and cafes. She came up to the Coast and we spent half a day shooting some content for her website and social media. I am really happy with the imagery and can't wait for her to share them soon. With the weather changing, the focus was getting some nice Autumn/Winter looks. It was also a great surprise to be able to shoot some stuff at Salmon & Co in Ettalong. A few months back I worked with their design team to shoot some content for her website and branding and I was so excited to see her shop open. I was even more excited when she said it was ok to take some photographs of Andrea inside of her shop, it's such a beautiful and luscious little space.
